11 months and 1 day

1/5/2009 4:17 PM

Well its been a long and winding road.. Wait, thats a song I think... Well it has been a long and winding road, both up and downhill. But the good news is, I'm still sober and enjoying life to the fullest. I love everything that sobriety has to offer. Was it easy? Heck NO!!! Was it worth it? Heck YES!!!

Actually the hardest part for me was that first day. It was a long walk from the parking lot to get into the door for the first time. More then once I thought about turning around and getting back into the car and driving away. I have been through that same door many times now and the walk isn't as long as I thought it was. If I could make that walk, anybody can. It is hard for me to believe that next month marks a year....

I do not like the phrase "one day at a time" but in reallity, that's what it is. So with that, I wish everyone a happy new year and good luck in whatever the future brings.......... Peace and STAY STRONG!!!!
