Since I have been a regular visitor to SC I have seen high times of
3 full pages of blogs--at 18-20 per page per 24 hour period being posted here from many different people.
This speaks to me of a vibrant and busy and involved community.
I am optimistic in that I feel the central core of Sobercircle can develop and will develop over time
into a busy and thriving supportive website.
I have had my concerns as I experience travelling in the vacumn of absence
of communications and the presence of swirling concerns flavoured in the negative.
Again I feel many folks have been given an oportunity to explore and expand their web based
support experiences.
I havent left Sobercircle, but I have found a place which better suits one part of my personal interest.
That is only one small part of me or my web based experience. There is a service initiative about to be
brought into play at sobercircle and I hope to be a part of that for sure as I have seen the benefits
for me in being actively involved in this community and it certainly broadened my experience and enjoyment of being here.
The service work brought MEANING to my experience of being here, and was throughly engaging and a source of inspiration
and that feeling remains.
I have observed in my time here at best that there is (just an opinion mind you) about 250--300 people
who over a period of about 14 days have contributed to our blogging community, and that is to say also that this group
is not a static group of personalities. There is a great many different personalities in this viewing .
My point is that I feel the input of positive blogging is the catalyst and can very qucikly bring about
a richer and more busy core group and centre of activity here, and I have noticed in life
that positivity is infectious also, and can spread quickly.
pers note*..if all I have is 'my interest' then thats all I see.
If I balance my involvement here with effective positive input in some regard
then my needs are reduced my experience is healthier, and my being connected with a genuine
Recovery based website becomes real, effective and REWARDING.
I have other people to consider today, they are alcoholics, there is no need for them to die in the building next door.
